Hi I'm Zoë

I love trying new things. I love reggae music. I'm Scottish-American. And I'm Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student in Florida and I am studying French and Spanish. I'm Scottish-American and I love it! I love photography as well. I love my religion and I am so grateful to be part of a wonderfully uplifting church! I love to make new friends and keep in touch with old ones from all the different places I've lived. My present family is enormously important to me and I know my future husband and children will be as well! I love learning and just loving life! I'm up for trying new things all the time.  I adore music and am constantly singing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church like many others, but I had to do some finding out of my own along the way. I was inactive from church for much of my childhood and high school but I am proud to say that I have made the choice to forever seek to grow in the Gospel and attend church! I am grateful for the Holy Ghost that leads and guides me in my life and for the Scriptures that bring instruction to me. I love this church and it has changed my life completely for the better!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to constantly learn more about Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and by trying to always be like them. Its not always easy, but the Holy Ghost can help comfort me along the way. I try to always love all of God's children and be friends with everyone I can! I love to attend all my church meetings and activities as best as I can! I love to talk with the missionaries and hear about their experiences in teaching about the Gospel.

What do Mormons believe about family?

As a Mormon, I believe that I can be with my family FOREVER if I live a life trying to follow Jesus Christ's perfect example. I love knowing that through marriage in and LDS temple that I can be sealed to my husband for time and all eternity! We can also be sealed to our children and our parents and other relatives through this wonderful plan of happiness! Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a boy living in New York. He was seeking a church to join. He decided one day that he would pray to God to ask which church he should join. God revealed to Joseph Smith in the "Sacred Grove," a quiet forest in New York where Joseph Smith went to pray, that none of the churches that Joseph Smith knew were true but rather that Joseph Smith would be a prophet for God to restore God's church on the earth. Joseph Smith worked hard for the Lord and was visited by angels. Joseph Smith faced much adversity but was able to overcome it through help from the Lord. We do not worship Jospeh Smith but are thankful for the work that he did to restore Jesus Christ's Gospel upon the earth today. I know that if we seek, pray and have a desire to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet that Heavenly Father will reveal this to us, as he did for me. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

NO! As Jesus Christ would, Mormons are willing to help anyone. We believe in not judging other people, but rather assisting them to feel comfort in any good way that we can. We believe that, as men, we all make mistakes and should not judge others, and therefore should not judge whether people need our help. In doing service to others we can grow closer to God, closer to the people we are serving, and closer to the people we are serving with. Sometimes even unexpected blessings and lessons can come from serving and helping others. We believe that charity is the pure love of Christ and that it never fails. With that being said, I know that I and many other Mormons are willing to help whoever stands in need! Show more Show less
