Hi I'm Will

I was born in Alabama and was reared in the Baptist faith, lived in a small farming community and have been richly blessed.

About Me

I am from Alabama, but now live in Georgia, in the United States. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1965---I joined while serving as a member of the United States Air Force in Fairfield, California at Travis Air Force Base. Back in Alabama, my Mom and Dad were the best people and reared me in the religion of which they were taught and I am forever indebted to them for the wonderful start in life that they gave to me. I have three brothers and two sisters(my brothers are now deceased). I would not change anything of the experiences that I had from being reared in the north Alabama area--what a great place to begin life. Many of my ancestors were Baptist ministers or leaders in their faith. It was not until I left home that I found the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and had never even considered a need for such a restoration, but now there is a clear view of the past and future. I pray that I can remain faithful until the end of mortality--it is not easy, but it is worth the effort. May our Father in Heaven bless all who read these words spoken from the heart.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion happened over a number of years, even after I was baptized--but little by little, truth built upon truth, combined with faith building experiences, have produced that small but piercing witness of the Holy Spirit that this restored gospel of Jesus Christ is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am blessed to be a part of it. My life has been changed forever for the good and I now can see how difficult it is for someone to realize that there is something real, something of great worth that has been placed here for our benefit. That benefit is to be placed on the path that will lead them back into the presence of Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, when this period of mortality has ended. The church has taught me how to live by the influence of the Holy Spirit--not that I do this consistently, but the effort is there. There is a sweetness to life when you feel that the Holy Spirit is guiding and you are responding to that guidance. It is my desire that I can so live that my family will be bonded for eternity in the life beyond this earth.

How I live my faith

As of this writing I am involved with efforts to show others not of our faith why they would be blessed to understand what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has to offer. That is nothing less than truth restored without the influence of manmade creeds that only distort the truth into something that goes against the teachings of Jesus Christ.
