Hi I'm Chelsia

I'm a mom, a wife, a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a strong-willed, independent person, but I like to think of myself as evolving. Aren't we all trying to evolve into what we want to become? It's a constant process. I have been involved in music since I was four years old. I play the violin and viola. I earned my bachelors and masters degrees in music and have taught violin/viola lessons for many years. I am on a leave-of-absence from my career as a teacher right now, so that I can dedicate myself to being a better mother. I enjoy life - especially the outdoors, hiking, biking, running, camping, skiing, water-skiing, etc. I love to read and learn (although I LOVE not being in school full-time). And I love to spend lots of time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised in an LDS home. I am grateful to parents who raised me with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have come to know for myself, many times, that the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints are true. I am so grateful for the feeling of peace and comfort that the Holy Ghost can give to us in answer to our sincere prayers. I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me that the Book of Mormon is true so many times. I feel the joy of knowing that I am a daughter of God on a daily basis.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith every day by keeping a spirit of harmony in our home. We do this by praying together and individually, reading/studying the scriptures together and individually, and trying to follow the example of the Savior - through service and love toward others. We participate in our church meetings each week. And we strive to follow the counsel of our living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. It's a daily choice and sometimes a struggle to live my faith fully. I'm not perfect, but I'm constantly striving to become the best me I can be.
