Hi I'm Joe

I'm a Husband and Father, traveling salesman, golfer, and I love movies, yeah I'm a Mormon

About Me

I spent my first 14 years of youth in southern California and have lived in Utah ever since. I'm the middle child of the "typical" large Mormon family of 7 children with amazing, steadfast and humble parents. . My whole life I have been blessed with a family that loves me despite my many shortcomings. That has continued trough my 25 years of marriage to my beautiful, talented and saintly patient wife. We have 7 awesomely talented children that make me laugh and cry and teach me patience everyday. Two of our baby boys died at early ages. Joseph Isaac was born premature and Shay Thomas left due to SIDS. As I read my first paragraph, it reminds me, that to know me is to know my family. They are the center of all I do and the source of my greatest joys, both past, present and future. I have always been very entrepreneurial minded. I have been self employed most of my adult life. I currently am in the corporate sales world. I enjoy traveling both for business and with my family. Travel is a good coping mechanism /therapy for my ADD. Wither is it be in the cold of the north for a winter business trip or sitting out in the sun in St. George watching one of my sons play baseball, I enjoy the diversity and beauty of the world around me.

Why I am a Mormon

The easy answer is cause I was born in a Mormon family. But that doesn't tell the whole story. Like so many others, I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I followed in the footsteps of my siblings and did my best to do what my parents asked of me. I always thought that I would have some type of life changing experience that I could share with others that would be inspirational and heart warming to explain my "conversion". Well, I have come to realize that my whole life has been a conversion and that all of the loved ones around me inspire and motivate me to be a better person everyday. I served a 2 year mission in Taiwan and it allowed me to share with others what in so many ways I took for granted. One, that I am a child of God and he truly does love me and all his children. Second, that Jesus Christ is my Savior and the perfect example of love. Third, that only through his teachings that I can realize the great joy that we can have in this life by understanding the Plan of Happiness. Last but not least, I have a family that loves me and with them I can enjoy all the blessings that can be mine if I just follow Christ. Why am I a Mormon? Because I know that God has given me his complete truth and it is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been blessed to be able to have it my whole life. I hope that I can have opportunities and the privilege to share these truths with my brothers and sisters of the great message that our Savior, Jesus Christ has given to all the people of the world. Regardless of where we started, where we come from, what color our skin may be. We are all loved unconditionally by our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Each day my goal is to do a little better. Some days I feel positive with my efforts and the direction of my life. Other days I know that I could have given a better effort and have not reached my potential. The reason that I choose to have this out look on my life is due to the great gift that we all have been given. That is the life, example and loving sacrifice of my older brother, Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Though him all things are possible.
