Hi I'm Alice

I am a family history trainer. I love to garden. I love family. I love music. I play the guitar and sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I write music. I teach beginning piano and I am a beginning piano student. At age 50 I graduated from College. I am married. My husband and I ride bikes together. I enjoy vegetable and flower gardening and reading good books and watching live musicals. I have worked as a camp director for teenage girls.

Why I am a Mormon

when I was 12 years old the missionaries came to our home and invited us to church. When we walked in the doors a warm feeling came over me. We moved a short time later. But when I was 16 the missionaries found our family again. My parents allowed me to choose for my self if I wanted to be baptized. I read the Book of Mormon and received a witness that it was true and the word of God. Through the trials of life, death of an infant child, divorce, struggles with employment, difficult decisions, I have been able to remain strong because of the witness I received from the Holy Ghost at a young age.

How I live my faith

I have daily personal prayer and scripture study to learn more of Jesus Christ and his commandments. I strive to live as the Savior and to repent when I make mistakes. I strive to love others and to help them to find the Savior.

Who was Joseph Smith?

He was a young boy who was confused about what church to join. He sought answers by reading the Bible. He found an answer. In James 1:5 he read that any man who lacked wisdom could ask God and could get an answer. He recognized that he needed wisdom. Joseph had been taught by his parents to pray. So he resolved to pray and seek help. He received an answer. Show more Show less
