Hi I'm Danny!

I am the oldest of 4 boys. I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I am a missionary and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm Dan. Nice to meet you! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am very active. I have played many sports and consider myself athletic. My favorite sports to play are tennis and basketball. I am wanting to major in Exercise Science so that I can go on to be a Physical Therapist. I can play the piano and have been playing it since 2nd grade. I can play the violin/fiddle as well. I have recently picked up longboarding which I find to be so much fun! I can't do any tricks, but it sure does help to get from one place to another. I am a very outgoing person and love making new friends. I have 3 younger brothers whom I love very much. I am currently a missionary for my Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love that with all of my heart as well. I love inviting people to come to Christ who is their older Brother and Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. I was baptized when I was 8 and haven't ever strayed from the path. The Gospel brings me happiness and joy. I am a happy person and I contribute that toward the Gospel. I know that this is the true church. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet today. To know that all of these things are true brings me so much joy and happiness! I don't know what I would do without this gospel.

How I live my faith

Well last year I was a Ward Mission Leader for my Ward. What that means was that I worked with the Missionaries and assisted in the missionary work in our Ward. Ever since I have been 14, I have been a hometeacher. That means that I go and visit people in our Ward and make sure that they are doing well. But now I am a Missionary that people would see out on the street riding their bicycle and everything. I go from door to door and I teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those that haven't had the chance to hear it yet. I love it so much!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

How can you know that Mormonism is true? All it requires is reading a book and praying and asking God, our Heavenly Father. You could take our word for it, that it's true. But we want you to get that answer for yourself by talking to our Heavenly Father. The book that will determine the truthfulness of this Church is called the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a companion to the Bible. We believe the Bible to be true as long as it is translated correctly. The Book of Mormon is an ancient text just like the Bible that was written by prophets here in the Americas. As you read this book and the teachings of these prophets, you will feel something. Pay attention to these feelings as you read. After reading from the book, you must pray to Heavenly Father in the name of Christ and ask Him if these things are true. The Holy Ghost will testify to you through your feelings. You may feel peace, hope, happiness, etc. If the Book of Mormon is true, then it was translated by a true Prophet named Joseph Smith. If Joseph Smith was a prophet, then that means that he truly restored the true church of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is the key! Show more Show less
