Hi I'm Brenda

I'm a full time missionary. I love movies, walking in the city, rain, and trying out new food. Guess what? I'm a Mormon!

About Me

At the moment I am a full-time missionary for the church. Before that, I was a health/medical assisting student preparing to attend physician's assistant school. I grew up with a single mother and am the oldest, middle and youngest child in my family ...or in other words, the only one! I can spend hours in the kitchen making food! it's my favorite thing in the world. That and spending time with the people I love the most. I always appreciate a good laugh. Right now my best friend is also serving a mission so it's neat to see that even on the other side of the world, the gospel of Jesus Christ is still the same and true.

Why I am a Mormon

In a nutshell- because it changed my life. I was baptized into the church when I was 10yrs old. Although at the time I didn't fully comprehend things, I was sure of one thing. I felt the spirit strongly testify without a doubt that this is the same gospel Christ established when he was here on the earth. When I was 19 years old I decided to to find out once again if what I felt was what true and real by reading the Book of Mormon. I took a challenge to read it in one month and prayed to know if it was real. It wasn't the timing that helped me gain a testimony but rather the desire and faith to know if it was true. Every night I sat down to read it I felt a strong confirmation in my heart and God telling me through the holy ghost that this book really testified of the savior Jesus Christ. That Joseph smith translated it and through him the lord restored his gospel, a path for his children to return to live with him. I'm far from being perfect but knowing that the sacrifice Christ made allows me to repent and that through his gospel I can live with my family for eternity is the biggest comfort I can ever have. No other feeling can ever come than through the witness you receive in your heart of these things. I can't deny what I know and feel. It's the greatest joy of my life.

How I live my faith

Right now by representing Jesus Christ as a missionary to share the gospel, or eternal truths with my brothers and sisters. When not a missionary, by living up to what I have learned from the savior- being an example and serving where I can. Living by the small and simple things such as reading my scriptures, daily prayer and putting to practice the things i learn.
