Hi I'm Richard

I was the 10th of 11 children. I love playing sports including tennis, basketball, and table tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As the father of four children, I keep busy with helping kids with homework, driving kids to their activities, and helping take care of the household. About three times a week I play table tennis, lift weights and do some cardio. In years past I have played a lot of basketball and tennis. I enjoy my work as a software tester. I've done that for over 15 years. When I have some extra time, I like to read books that can make a difference in my life or in the world. That may include books about God's work among men, health, government, or books about the practical application of quantum physics.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). I love learning the gospel of Jesus Christ that is taught within the church. I also like how my local congregation pulls the neighborhood together with activities that bring us together. I have developed a lot of friendships with the other members of my faith. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. He is my Savior. God loves his children today, and he does have a prophet living today.

How I live my faith

In the recent past I have helped organize the gospel teaching in my congregation, and now I'm enjoying creating ways for the members of our congregation to get to know each other better.

Are Mormons Christians?

I'm surprised every time this question is raised. I've lived as a Christian and a Mormon my entire life. Christ is the focal point of my faith and my religion. Consider if a Southern Baptist told a First United Baptist that he's not a baptist because of some difference in policy or belief. That would be silly. I believe in Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and my Savior. Show more Show less
