Hi I'm Carlos

Im Salvadorian, Im a convert, Im a missionary in the California Fresno Mission, and I'm LDS.

About Me

i grew up in el salvador and came to the USA at the age of ten. my mom always taught me the ways of religion. she went to different churches all her life. my father grew up catholic and i went to his church a few times as well. coming to the USA from a small country was amazing. growing up here i learned the true meaning of friendship and how you have to support your friends. the snow in the north eastern part of the country was great. i find that its then when i can serve a lot of people when they get their car stuck in the snow. my friends love to help out just because we want to and we dont want anything in return. we love to play street football and also share things with each other when we are going through hard stuff. we really try to not let a friend down. family is always important to us too. well too me as well.... if it wasnt for family there wouldnt be much hope for me. i love to listen to rock and i love animation as well. my big thing is auto motive technology. going to go to school for it. i like to hear people out when they have something going on and i can help.

Why I am a Mormon

i met the missionaries when i was eight. my whole family are converts to the church. i did grow up less active tho so i did not grow up in the church. later on in life i was led back to the church and i needed to find out for my self if the prophet joseph was truly a prophet and to know if this was christ true church. so i did just as the book of mormon suggest to ask God and do it in faith. i received the most powerful answer to my prayer that comfirmed to me the feelings and everything in between just made sense to me. the spirit guided me alot and now im serving a mission. its great and i love it. i know this church is true. the prophet joseph was a prophet. theres a true prophet on the earth today, the book of mormon is true and i know that Christ is at the head of the chruch this is His church. in the name of jesus christ, amen

How I live my faith

i am serving a full time mission. and then will continue to strive to share the gospel with my friends. service is a big one for me. if you need a hand call me haha. i love to be of service to people and i dont like to get paid so i tell everyone not to worry about it im here to serve them.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

baptism is the gate to enter into the kingdom of heaven and must be done by the proper authority. when Christ was baptized he didnt go to a random person to baptize him. he went to John the baptist because he had the priesthood the authority from God. that authority was lost with the death of the twelve apostles, but through the prophet joseph that authority was restored! it is a great blessing to us in these days. we are forgiven and cleansed from our sins through baptism and then we revcieve the gift of the Holy Ghost and the Spirit will always be with us as long as we are worthy. Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

the restoration of the gospel was needed because it was lost for a long time. yes we did have the bible but it was not enough to restore everything to how it was in the days of Jesus Christ. it tells us how the church was made and what its foundation was in the older days but it didnt have the way of how the church should be established. therefore it was necessary that there shouldve been divine guidence. the priesthood or authority of God wasnt on the earth either and the bible is not that authority. so that authority needed to be restored as well. so alot of things needed to be restored for us to have the full blessings that our Heavenly Father has for us!  Show more Show less
