Hi I'm Tyson

I am a married college student. I love learning, athletics, and being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am nearly finished with my undergrad and looking forward to entering the next phase of my life. I met my wife at college and have been married for three years. I enjoy athletics, both playing and watching. I also enjoy being outside hiking and camping. My wife and I love to visit new places and both enjoy photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because above all it makes me happy. I love the understanding and knowledge gained by having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Since I was a small boy, I have known who I am, what my purpose in life is, and have felt security and comfort in understanding what happens after this life. Life can often be a struggle and a challenge. I have found that having the gospel in my life makes life more manageable and makes life more meaningful. Having the gospel allows me to center my life on true principles that bring stability to my life, as well as my family's. Having the opportunity to read from the Book of Mormon has brought to me more knowledge about my Savior which has blessed my life. I love reading the parables found in the New Testament, but I always wondered what Christ might have done for people in other areas around the world, besides Jerusalem. The Book of Mormon reveals this and more. Having another testament of Jesus Christ, of when he visited the Americas, has brought to me a more complete understanding of who my Savior is, and the significance of his teachings. In turn, with additional understanding and knowledge I have experienced the joy of having greater faith in my Savior, which has helped me to learn to rely more on Christ on a daily basis.

How I live my faith

Currently I help to organize the monthly visits of church members to other member's homes in my community. It's part of a program to care for families living near one another. I have enjoyed the opportunity to get to know so many of my neighbors, and to be a resource for those who may at times need assistance with moving or whatever it may be.
