Hi I'm Benjamin

I love Idaho potatoes, I love music, I love my family and friends, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I used to be a quiet person, but I have learned how to talk to people. I love listening to and playing music. I love playing games. I can get pretty competitive. I love having a great time. I love music. I have grown up enjoying learning how to play the piano and then the saxophone. While in High School I was very involved in the school band. During my senior year of high school I picked up the french horn and started teaching myself how to play it. Only two or three months later, I played it in honor band, which is frightening to say the least. From that I have also been able to play a little bit of the trumpet, which I had a lot of fun with. I was also involved in all of the plays and musicals put on by my High School. I enjoyed the time, to spend with my friends, and being involved with those activities that I enjoyed. I enjoy learning about new things. After High School I became more involved with researching about electronics. I enjoy learning about things that fascinate my mind. I'm getting into running because it helps me to stay fit and happy. I'm enjoying it a lot and I am setting goals to go further and faster.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, and I was baptized when I turned 8 years old. As I've grown older, I've come to realize how the gospel has blessed my family. I pray for answers to questions I have, and I get answers through the scriptures and impressions from the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I am able to play the piano, so I often help with providing accompaniment to any songs being sung. I love seeing the effect the Gospel has on individuals and families. I am always striving to do better and live a more Christlike life. Thankfully I am able to try over and over and over again. I am always learning more about the Gospel and gaining more understanding that helps me grow in faith. I am grateful for experiences I have that help me to progress "line upon line, precept upon precept."

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can find out that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ once again established on the earth, by reading the Book of Mormon, thinking about the messages it contains, and praying sincerely with real intent, meaning you intend to act according to the answer, that the Book of Mormon is true. The Book of Mormon is another testiment of Jesus Christ given to us by the power of God, to prove to us that this is His restored gospel. It strengthens our testimony of Jesus Christ and it brings families together. Show more Show less

Why did your church previously practice plural marriage (polygamy)?

Because God said to do it at that time. We don't always know the reason why God commands us to do certain things, but if we know that the church is true, then we know that God commands it, and that He has wisdom in all things. When the Word of Wisdom was first given, which prohibits tobacco, alcohol, coffee, and tea, no one knew that tobacco was bad for us. In fact they thought it was good for us. God's wisdom is infinite and we can't comprehend all of His ways, but he can give us comfort that His ways are better than ours when we pray to Him. Show more Show less
