Hi I'm Rosalie

Born in California. Grew up in Utah&Tonga. Serving a mission in Texas. I LOVE sweet&simple things in life. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I LOVE my life, and the many experiences I have had so far! I LOVE that I had the opportunity to spend 8 years in "the friendly islands" of Tonga. It was there where I grew to love the simple things in life, and not to take anything for granted! I LOVE my FAMILY,swimming in the pacific ocean, having a good time with the ones I love, dancing with my family, having deep conversations with my parents and sisters, bonfires at the beach and having a good jam session with the ukulele - There's NO END! :) Currently I am serving a mission in the Texas Houston East Mission, and I am LOVING every minute of it. It's so amazing to see how the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives. It continues to change mine every single day.

Why I am a Mormon

As with everybody, we all must gain a testimony of this Church and it's teachings. I grew up a Mormon, but for the most part relied heavily on the testimony of my parents. It wasn't until I moved to Tonga where I started to gain a testimony for myself. My sisters and I stayed with my grandpa and my aunts who belonged to a different denomination. I started to recognize that there were differences in the way we lived our lives. There weren't that many, because they were wonderful christian people. However, the little differences in beliefs were significant. With the help of my parents and my dad's sister, who is a member, we started attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the nearby branch in Mailetaha. As I continued to attend church and live the gospel at home, my testimony started to grow. It didn't just happen overnight, but it gradually grew stronger and stronger till I could say with all of my heart "I know that these things are TRUE!". There were trials and opposition that I faced during this point in my life, especially going to a school where our standards were ridiculed at times. In addition, I lived in a home where they didn't really understand why we did what we did and why we believed what we believed. However, I know that these proved to strengthen my testimony as I chose to exercise my agency and choose faith. This is why I'm a Mormon! :)

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time mission in the Texas Houston East Mission. Unfortunately, my time is almost up, but as I look back to the many wonderful experiences that I have had, I feel extremely blessed! I have grown so much as I have applied the teachings of the gospel into my life, because I have to live what I preach! As I go out each day, talking and teaching people the restored truths of the gospel, my love for my God and my fellow brothers and sisters has increased! Our Heavenly Father truly wants all of his children to be happy! He's provided a way to be happy...if you want to know...call up the missionaries in your area! :)
