Hi I'm Carlos J. Pacheco

I'm a man of letters. I'm a guy of songs. I'm serving in Miami, FL. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Yabucoa, a small town by the countryside area in Puerto Rico. Actually, I'm serving a as full-time missionary for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission. Before my mission, I was studying microbiology. I love natural medicine and everything that has to do with health, body fitness and nutrition. I was in a musical group, "La Rondalla de Humacao", playing the "cuatro puertorriqueño" (puertorican instrument) and I actually play guitar just for hobbie. I enjoy writing, watching movies, music and reading. The scriptures: my best source to read God's letters for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon, more accurate Latter-Day Saint, because I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, that the Book of Mormon is sent from God and is true and that through Joseph Smith, the authority to baptize was brought again to the earth. I had a doubt about the calling that God gave to Joseph, but today after reading his teachings, his fruits (one of them the Book Of Mormon) I've come to know that what he did was commanded from God. I've learned how to apply better Jesus Christ's teachings and to understand them better than in the past. I am a mormon, better a Latter-Day Saint, because I have been touched by the testimonies of the modern-day prophets that guide the church today. They have been chosen from God to be witnesses of Jesus Christ. They love Christ and are special witnesses of the divine nature of God. They've seen God's hand in their lives many times. And I testify that I've seen miracles in my life too.

How I live my faith

Like Francisco de Asis said once: "Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words", I strive always to live what I preach. Being an example of the believers is something that we need to have stuck on our minds. We cannot forget to change ourselves first and then call others to change. I live my fatih by trying to learn more about Jesus Christ, to know him more and striving everyday to emulate his example. Thats the best way to be happy and to understand God's purposes for our individual lives.
