Hi I'm Boyd

I grew up in Idaho, and I am an eye doctor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father, and a grandfather. I am a healthcare professional in a small town and I love what I do. I enjoy being able to help people. I love reading, working in my yard, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the church, but it took until I was a nineteen year old missionary, halfway around the world, teaching other people about Jesus Christ, that I decided I really needed to know for myself if what I was teaching was correct. One day I was reading a verse from the Doctrine and Covenants, Section 46, verse 13, "To some it is given by the Holy Ghost to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he was crucified for the sins of the world." In that moment, the Holy Ghost testified to me that I already knew that this was true, and I had known it all along. Since that day I have never doubted the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am part of the leadership of a stake, which is an organization of about 3500 members of the church. I help to teach and train those who supervise smaller local congregations. I also personally visit three families each month to see if there is anything the church can do to help them. I try to talk daily with my Heavenly Father, and to live my life as He would want me to.
