Hi I'm Alexis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of three young children, and am fortunate to be able to stay at home with them. I enjoy discovering great books, new recipes and fun crafts to do with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

There came a time in my life when I moved away from home and started to live the teachings my parents had offered me while growing up. At this time, it was not out of routine or expectation of my family or close friends. I lived far enough away and knew almost no one. I chose to live according to the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ because I wanted to, and the powerful spiritual experiences I had during this time helped me to realize the great power and truth that my parents had offered me as a child. More than anything else, I learned that I am a daughter of God, and that He is a Father who knows me individually and loves me very much. This brought a whole new meaning to my life that stays with me today in the choices that I make and the person I want to be.

How I live my faith

I organize additional help and service needed by families in circumstances of transition or difficutly, such as taking a meal to those who are sick or have recently given birth. I find great joy in doing so, and know that those who are offering their help, as well as those on the receiving end, feel that same joy in their lives as well. I love to be around others and try to find a way to give a listening ear and offer encouragement when appropriate. Knowing each one of us is a child of a Heavenly Father helps me reach out to those who I do not already know.
