Hi I'm Leif

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving a mission in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like reading fantasy books, writing poetry, and singing. I've attended 6 yrs of college, and am currently serving a mission for the church. i hope to teach high school or college english when i go home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to be raised as a mormon, but even so, i had to find out for myself if it was true, just like everyone else does. i went through a period of time where i questioned everything that i had ever been taught, whether God even existed, and if so, what He wanted of me. through prayer, and following the commandments, I was a ble to feel that He was there, and pleased with me, that He is there and loves me, and the teachings of the Mormon church have helped me to better understand God than any other church. I know it is the church of God

How I live my faith

I currently am serving a full time mission for the church. For 2 years i share the gospel of Jesus Christ with any who will listen, and help them to come closer to Christ.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can literally become “at one” with our Heavenly Father, as the Savior prayed for in John 17:21-23. God is perfect, untainted by sin, and the only way for us to be at one with him, or be like him, is if we are also untainted by sin. However, none of us are perfect, and without a mediator, the laws God lives by would not allow us to return to Him. Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins in Gethsemane, and on Calvary, so that after we have chosen to repent of our sins, and to “go, and sin no more” (John 8:11), we can be cleansed from the effects our sins have on our souls. In addition, He suffered all of our pains and sufferings so that He would understand each of us, and know how to help us through our trials, because He loves us. Show more Show less
