Hi I'm Stephen

I'm a student at BYU-Idaho, Utah State football is my life, I love to laugh, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old and I am a college student right now. I am studying Biology in hopes of becoming a Chiropractor. I love to play the ukulele in my free time and chill out with my friends. I also play rugby whenever I get the chance. I have two older brothers and two wonderful parents. It is especially a great time to be around our family during football season. We are all huge Utah State fans and love cheering for our Aggies! I have an awesome family and I love them all very much. I love Science and hope to help many people with my education. I also love to be outside and be in the sunshine whenever I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not grow up in this church. I was sixteen when I joined. I had a lot of friends who were Mormon and I wanted to be as happy as they all seemed to be. When I was 15 I saw a movie on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, about Joseph Smith. When the movie was over I had an overwhelming feeling from God that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I later was able to read from the Book of Mormon and pray about it. When I did, the same feeling in even greater magnitude that I felt as I watched the movie about Joseph Smith came again. I knew it was true. I then met with the missionaries who helped me to overcome weaknesses and false ideas about who God and His son Jesus Christ were. I was Baptized four days after my 16th birthday by my older brother Andrew. It was the best decision I ever made.

How I live my faith

I believe that we all have the responsibility to learn and grow in this life. I believe that how we treat each other is the one of the most fundamental and important aspects of this life. I believe that true happiness is a choice, not an event. I try to live to the best of my abilities to what I believe. I think that we all have an equal opportunity to seek out happiness in this life, in whatever capacity that may be in. That being said, I believe that being a follower of Jesus Christ is the happiest route that any one person can choose.
