Hi I'm Michelle

I am a busy stay at home mom with 4 kids who helps run a community girls lacrosse organization and and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 including one missionary. Married for 24 years. Retired from engineering career when husband graduated from law school. Love being a full time housewife. Lacrosse coach. Scrap-booking and cooking are a passion. Love to travel and vacation with family. Grew up in Southern California. Married college sweetheart.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents were great examples of service and love. I gained a testimony early when I was a child. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify of God's love and plan for me ever since I was young. Since I have been able to recognize the Spirit it has been a wonderful journey in life seeing truth in the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When I live by the principles of the Gospel I am blessed and I cannot deny the blessings and confirmation of the Spirit. I have had trials and difficulties with children who have special needs. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me guidance through the difficult times and now as I am a little older I can look back on my life and see His hand in my life's path. I am a Mormon because I find the answers to life's questions in Mormon theology. I find the answers in Mormon scripture including the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price. These have become great places of knowledge that give me insight and strength in my life. I find peace, joy and happiness in the Mormon teachings.

How I live my faith

I love to live my faith. While serving in many callings including the calling of being a mother, wife and family member I find fulfillment even when my capacities are stretched. Every time I serve others I grow in knowledge and love. Many times it is not easy to balance home and church but if I pray for guidance. I love attending church and wholesome activities that are fun and uplifting. I love that my children have a safe and inspirational place to socialize and grow up in.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Mormons baptize for the dead to fulfill God's plan that all have the opportunity to return to Him someday. We all have the opportunity to follow Christ's example and be baptized by those who have the authority to baptize. This opportunity is given to all who have come to this earth. What a wonderful blessing we have to participate in this blessed ordinance. Show more Show less
