Hi I'm Heather

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah, I am a wife and a mom of 7 amazing kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

From a young age I always knew I wanted to be a mother. If there was a baby around I wanted to hold it. I also loved being creative and learning new things. I love the creativity that goes in to being a mother and a homemaker. Cooking, decorating, blogging, gardening, photography, sports, the beautiful outdoors and 7 spunky kids are all things my Heavenly Father has placed around me to enjoy. And the best part, a husband who loves to share in all the craziness with me. But when I need a break from it all I love to read, books, blogs and magazines. A little HGTV can also make a stressed mom a happy mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I love knowing where I came from and that I have a loving Heavenly Father who sent me here. His guidance and love helps me navigate this crazy world around me. Knowing that I can communicate with him, and ask for his help gets me through each and everyday. I love being able to teach my children that they each have a personal plan of why they are here and that they can ask for help to make sure they are living that plan. The knowledge of the love their Heavenly Father has for them makes this plan possible. I am also so grateful for the love of my older brother Jesus. His sacrifice makes it all possible to make it through this life and back home with him, my Heavenly Father and my eternal family here on earth. I love my family so much and knowing I will be with them forever is one of the most important things to me.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sundays with my family. I work with the younger girls by teaching them skills that will help them as they grow. My family spends Monday nights together, playing games, hanging out and teaching each other ways to live the gospel. I try to read my scriptures everyday, it helps me get organized first thing in the morning and starts my day on the right foot. I also make sure I am praying daily to give thanks for all that I am blessed with and to ask for guidance. I love to attend the temple and serve in anyway I can.
