Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a die-hard fooball fan, I love to play basketball, and I am a Missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tyler. Some of the things I enjoy doing are hanging out with friends and playing sports. I also like to be outdoors and go hiking. Although I'm not as much of a fanatic as my brother, I love to listen to music. I love sports, and in particular BYU football. I enjoy going to all the home games with my Dad. Win or lose, I always enjoy every minute of it. But now, I have put all of that on hold and I am currently serving a mission for the church. I have been called by a Prophet of God to serve in the Ventura California mission. I am teaching the gospel in the Spanish Language. I am loving every moment of my mission and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to go and teach what I believe and know to be true; which is the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that the gospel is true because it has brought be an infinate amount of happiness throughout my life. I know that everybody who embraces the gospel can feel the same level of happiness as I have.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith is everything to me. This church is the source of every bit of happiness that I have ever experienced in my life. I promise that everybody, no matter the circumstance, can experience the same happiness. I chose to be a Mormon because I know that is true. The Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith who was a prophet called of God to organize His church upon the earth. Our gospel relies heavily on the Book of Mormon. Either it is true or it is not. IF the Book of Mormon is not true then everything else about the gospel is a lie. However, if it is indeed true then everything that the Church believes in stands with it. I have read the Book of Mormon many times over the past couple of years. After prayfully considering its message and contents, I know that it is true. I know that the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ will change all the lives of those who embrace it for the better. I love this church, and I love being a part of it.

How I live my faith

I do everything I can to become active in the church. As I talked about earlier I am serving a mission for the church. Typically, a mission will last about twenty-four months. Each missionary is to devote all of their efforts to teaching and helping people to come unto Christ. From 6:30 in the morning to 10:30 at night we are studying and preaching the gospel. To many, this might sound like a waste of two years, especially for young men who are just beginning to piece together their lives. However, for all the truely devoted missionaries of the church, it is a spectacular experience that will inhance the quality of their lives tremendously. So, I'm grateful for the opportunity I have to be able to change peoples' lives as well as my own.
