Hi I'm Matt

I'm a uni student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a first-year uni student aspiring to be a clinical psychologist and a high school English teacher. And maybe even a novelist! Even though I was raised as a member of the LDS church, I still reached a point where I had to decide if I wanted to follow God. After many wrong decisions, I made the right one to follow God and served as a missionary in the best mission in the world, the Australia Sydney South Mission. My greatest joy was seeing people changed their lives as their belief in Christ was strengthened, and it still is. When I'm not studying I enjoy learning to play the piano, reading, drawing, hanging out with other local church members, listening to music, watching movies, and playing the odd video game. I might even take a walk if it's sunny.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow God because I know exactly where my life would be if I chose not to, and it's not something I want to be doing. For me it's clear: I can either follow God and be happy with my life, or not follow Him and be somewhere I don't want to be. I'm a Mormon because I love the teachings - that God lives, the one can become like Him, and that families and marriages can be forever. I'm a Mormon because there are many paths one can take to follow God, and I believe that this is the right path. Each step I take down it strengthens that belief. I'm a Mormon because I want to be, and I believe God wants me to be one.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one step at a time. I try my best to make decisions that God would be happy with and I love helping people. Although I served as a missionary, I'm still a little shy when it comes to sharing the gospel with those not of my faith. What I know I can do is be a good influence to those around me. I work with the single 18-30yr olds from the local congregation and it's a lot of fun!
