Hi I'm Jennifer

G.R.I.T.S. Girl raised in the south. Thats who I am! I am also a Mormon!

About Me

I am a single mom of 3 awesome children. They are the joy of my life. I love to read, play video games, love music and hanging with my family. I am a C.N.A. and a Pharm Tech. I am active in my local ward and proudly hold a temple recommend. Some things about me. I love music. Classical and modern rock are my favorites. I love to read. I have a Nook which I am currently filling with books as I type. I love my pets. My family has 3 dogs and 2 guinea pigs. I love chilling at bookstores and libraries. I also love watching movies with my family. Despicable Me, Harry Potter, Tron, Yogi Bear, Rapunzel, Toy Story 3, Avatar, etc are some of my very favorites.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of the knowlege that my family can be together for all time and eternity. I know this is indeed the true church. The saviour truly lives. At a young age I was ripped away from my family and taken from my home. My parents where young, going through a divorce and they and their family hated each other. At the time my dad was ticked off at my mom so when I was 4 years old he stole me from my home, falsified documents and put me on a Delta plane to another state. I was then illegally adopted out to another family. I had a new name, a new identity. My mother was heartbroken and spent many months, then years searching for me. My fathers family tried to forget I even existed, writing me off and destroying all evidence of what they did. For over 14 years I searched for my family. During this time I discovered the mormon church through T.V. commercials. The theme was "Families Can Be Together For All Time and Eternity." That rung a bell with me because of the horror I had endured. Not to say my adopted family wasn't great. They were awesome! However, I missed my mom and always had the nagging thoughts of what might have been had this had not happened. At age 18 I joined the church. I was determined to have an eternal family. I got married at 19, had 3 awesome children and found my mom at 22!!!!! Life was looking up. With my mom back in my life I found truepeace and wholeness. I was sealed to my children in the Atlanta, GA temple. Sadly, my marriage ended in divorce. However, I am still sealed to my children and my biological family for all time and eternity. I do know families can be together for all time and eternity. And do I live worthily, I will be in Celestial kingdom with my family forever and eve. Life is good.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good example to my family, friends, and especially my coworkers. They look up to me because they know I live a higher standard. I don't drink, smoke, party, cuss, be rude and I don't work on Sunday. I am so different from the world they are drawn to that and respect me for that. I fo to my local ward every Sunday and Wensday night youth activites for my children.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Heck no! A common misconception though. We believe Joseph Smith was a person, a tool, Heavenly Father used to bring the gospel about in these latter days. We believe him to be a prophet, like Moses was. Joseph's purpose was to come to earth to do gods will. god's will was to make sure all of the gospel was restored on earth before Jesus came again in the second coming. We as Mormon's only worship Jesus christ. Period. Show more Show less
