Hi I'm Aimee

I'm a wife, I'm a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been happily married for 5 years! I was only 18 and barely out of high school when I got married, and although it seems crazy, the past 5 years have been the very best of my life! Married life is so much fun, especially when you're married to your best friend. For the first few years, it was just the two of us, and we enjoyed spending time together watching movies, going out to dinner, going to concerts, concerts, concerts! Things have changed recently, because last year we had a baby girl who has become the center of our lives. She has the sweetest personality and she brings out the best in both of us! I'm now a stay at home mom, and I love it! I am so blessed to have a husband who works hard so that I can take care of our baby. I've always known I wanted to be a mother and that I would be a good one. There's days when I have no clue what I'm doing, but the love I have for my baby girl and the knowledge I have of my Heavenly Father's plan for me help me along the way. I know that my work as a mother is important to Him, and that he has trusted me with his daughter, knowing that I will take care of her.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The things I've been taught have always made sense to me, but everyone has to gain a true testimony of the gospel for themselves at some point. My testimony has come through many experiences in my life and is something that I have to work on every day. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and hears me when I pray. I know that His Son, Jesus Christ, came to earth to set an example for me and to atone for my sins. It is amazing to know that no matter what I go through in this life, my Savior has felt my pain and is there to comfort me! I honestly don't know (and don't want to know) how different my life would be if I didn't have a knowledge of Him. I know that my family can be together forever because of Heavenly Father's plan for us.

How I live my faith

One of the biggest things that my church has taught me is the importance of families. We are blessed to have a big extended family, and many of our family members live close by, so we spend a lot of our free time with them. When I'm with my family, I feel the peace that the Spirit brings. I want my home to be a place where it can reside so that we can always feel that peace. I know that the biggest responsibility I have is to teach my children about God and how they can return to live with Him. Right now I am trying to set an example for my daughter by going to church on Sundays, saying prayers daily, and trying to fulfill our church callings. My husband and I are currently serving as advisors for the young single adults in our church. We try to set an example for them of the blessings of eternal marriage and parenthood. We take our daughter to all our activities and she is the life of the party. I'm very proud that she can fold her arms and say "amen" when we say prayers!
