Hi I'm Dillin Jensen

I grew up in a small town called Rexburg in Idaho. I'm a dirtbiker. I'm a snowboarder, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest child in my family. I have a younger sister, a mom, and a dad. We have a family farm. Its been a great to grow up on it. I've learned valuable life skills that have blessed my life while working with my Dad and Grandpa on the farm. I love to go snowboarding, and dirt biking. I'd have to say that those two things are defining activites in my life. I also love to play some Xbox Live, go airsofting, and four-wheel with the family. Recently, I've started to teach myself how to draw and basically do art stuff. Being born on a family farm, I've defiently learned how to do a wide ragne of tasks, and it helped generate my love for the outdoors. I love the outdoors, but there are also moments in my life when a movie or a great video game captures my attention. I plan on going to college and go into the medical feild. I'm hoping to become a Physicain Assistant. I've wanted to go into the medical feild for a while, because the complexity of the human body, and biology in general fascinates me. It is really cool seeing oh the body fights foreign objects, and heals itself.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but remained inactive for years. I decided to come back into the church, because it makes sense to me, and I wanted the peace of Christ in my life.. I believe that God is a loving god, who truely cares for each and everyone of his children. I believe he is perfect, and doesn't change. So why would he change? Why would God cease to have prophets and apostles lead his church and teach his children? He has always had prophets. Scriptures are collections of writings of his prophets, written down to pass on teachings and truths to God's children. I believe that the Bible isn't the final word of God, that God still has much to say and to teach us, especially in these trying times. Who are we to limit the Almighty God on how much he can say? And come on, the Bible has thirty minutes of Jesus talking in it, and you expect someone to believe that the bible is the final word of God? There is more scriptures out there, confirming and giving testiment to the truth ogf the teachings of the everlasting Gospel, and how Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and the Savior of all mankind. God is our father, does your father stop talking to you after he or you has reached a certin age? No. I hope not. He loves us, and cares for us. He seeks to warn us of dangers, and to be ever vigilant in our duties. He does this through his prophets and apostles, and also by the Holy Ghost, which gives each of us revelation. I know for a fact that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of Chruist, once again established on the Earth. I know this, because I have done as the Apostle James advised, and sought wisdom from God on the matter (James 1:5). I took the challenge in the end of the Book of Mormon, and prayed to God to know if this is true (Moroni 10:4-5). I tried out the commandments in the church, and have proved them to be true. I know this is the true church, because I have had it confirmed in my soul and in my heart.

How I live my faith

I'm just a member of the church at the moment, out serving my mission for the Lord. I love though, how the members of the church, both at home and here make me and total strangers gfeel loved and like they are all part of one big family. Everyone is so kind, and is so willing to help you out. Of course, that doesn't mean they don't know how to throw a good party or have some fun either. I remeber growing up and being involved with the youth. We did all sorts of adventures, such as water rafting, shooting, camping, snowboarding- it was a blast.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Dillin Jensen
When missionaries come to your home, they give you a personalized message about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and how the fulness of His Gospel has been restored to the world. They teach people how the Gospel, how our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, can help them in their troubles, and pains. They help people understand that only by following the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that they can return back to God, our Father in Heaven. The Gospel is a plan that Christ himself taught while he was on Earth during his ministry, and the prophets before him taught to the people, to prepair them for the comming of the Savior. The Gospel of Jesus Chrsit has five basic Principles; Faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance of Sins, Baptism by Emersion, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and to Endure to the End of our lives in our faith in Christ. They also speak of the Book of Mormon, which doesn't replace the Bib le, or overrides it. But acts as a support for the Bible. It is another Testament of Jesus Christ, another witness that there is a God, and a Savior, and that there is hope for us all in this world. It is proof of the Restoration of the Gospel, that Joseph Smith really was a prophet of God, and that this is Christ's Church, once again established in these days. Show more Show less
