Hi I'm KTLyn

I LOVE being happy! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in an active LDS (Mormon) home. As I began to learn for myself that the doctrines taught in the LDS faith were true, I decided to serve a full-time mission for the Lord. Prior to my mission, I attended college studying music education. I love all kinds of music and the great power it has. The greatest blessing in my life is my testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of this church because of the witness I've recieved from my Father in Heaven that it is true. When I read the Book of Mormon the rest of my day is affected in a positive way. When I read Joseph Smith's own account of his vision (seeing Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ) I feel God's love come over me so strongly. I know this is Christ's church restored again upon the earth. It makes sense and it feels right.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm serving a full-time mission on the west coast. Everyday, 24/7 I get to spread the joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all those around me. That is how I live my faith.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Mormon is a nickname given to us because we not only belive the Bible to be the word of God, but we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. If you want to know more about the Book of Mormon, simply read the introduction of it, it's a great place to start. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes! I believe that God loves us just as much as he loved those that lived many years ago. And lets face it, we desperately need the guidence of a prophet in these days, a loving Father in Heaven wouldn't let us go without. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Well its not the People's church, so don't pay the people. Besides, Christ didn't get paid to minister. And the blessings from God are more than money could buy! Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

God loves all of his children. This includes those who did not get the opportunity to learn about his Gospel in this life. Those who did not get a chance to learn about Christ or did not understand what they were taught, will get that opportunity after this life and before the day of judgment. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

NO. He is a prophet of God just like many other prophets such as Moses, Noah and Abraham. We do not worship any of them but follow their teachings and because we know they are from God. The reason we focus a lot on the prophet Joseph Smith is because his time of prophetic teaching is the start of the restoration of the Lord's Gospel once again etablished on the earth. How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

After reading selections of the Book of Mormon, pray and ask God if it's true. Then when the time comes that you feel that it is, contact the local missionaries either via internet or asking a Mormon where you could find the full-time missionaries. They will help you through the rest until you are ready to make promises to the Lord by entering the waters of baptism. Show more Show less
