Hi I'm Charles S. Gilmore

I am a returned missionary, a gamer, a reader, an aspiring author and editor, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Raised in Horseheads New York, I grew up in a house with more pets than some of the local petstores in the area. I chose to remain homeschooled until college. I took a semester at Corning Community College and then transferred out to Brigham Young University-Idaho. My parents raised me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I had to study and pray for myself in order to gain a testimony of my own. Since then I have served a mission in Utah state, I started in the Utah Provo mission but was moved to the Utah Saint George mission when the Provo mission was split around my year mark as a missionary. I enjoy creating things, particularly through writing, and enjoy science fiction, reading, gardening, hiking, puzzle and strategy games, and something a bit scary at times, like a horror movie or spooky game. My hope is to one day write and publish science fiction stories, along with obtaining my own personal book collection. On a more professional note, I also intend to explore editing as a marketable skill. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he lives, and that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again because of the atonement Christ made for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but needed to gain my own testimony of the truth especually in my teen age years. I studied the scriptures both the Bible and the book of Mormon along with other portions of scripture given through modern day Prophets, I prayed meny times to know the truth and God answered my prayers by the power of the Holy Ghost and I can now say for myself that I know this is God's church restored to the Earth in its fulness through the Prophet Joseph Smith jr.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my everyday actions as I strive to be more like my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Charles S. Gilmore
The Bible contains great and important truths about us and this world, including the Earthly ministry of Jesus Christ himself, which with the Book of Mormon give us atleast two seperate witnesses of Christ's devinity, reality, doctrine, power and love. It helps us to grow in knowledge, understanding and testimony.  Show more Show less

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Charles S. Gilmore
Jesus Christ founded the Mormon church Properly named "The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints" He did this through the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr, just as he has revealed his doctrine through Prophets throughout the history of the Earth, as witnessed in the bible and other holy scriptures.
