Hi I'm Garrett

Im a small town boy who lives for the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im 21 years old. I love the outdoors. I hunt, fish and camp. I love to ride dirtbikes and fourwheelers. I am a bit of a thrill seeker. If i can go fast and get a good ride Im gonna do it. I just graduated with my associates in science. My career goal is to be a physical therapist. I would like to own my a clinic and help children with disabilaties and also athletes with sports injuries.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. As a child and teenager my family wasn't active in our church or any other religion. As i grew into my teenage years i fell into a group of friends that weren't doing the right things. I soon followed their example and was becoming distant from my Father in Heaven. As I went through highschool I found that I was unhappy and was lacking something in my life, but I didnt know what it was. I struggled through highschool with not knowing who I was and what my purpose in life is. I graduated and began to look at colleges. I settled with my small town community college. My first semester I was still lost. I began to meet some new friends that I felt good around. One day I met a girl who was a friend of one of my new friends. We talked and got to know each other a little and she asked if I was Mormon. I said that i hadnt been to church in a really long time. She asked why and I told her that I didnt know. Well the conversation died off from there. I had a real interest in this girl and why she was so happy. We began dating and she invited me to church. I was really nervous and anxious but i said i would try it out. Well Sunday rolled around and for some reason I felt really good. I met the girl at her dorm and we walked to the church. She calmed my nerves and told me that i would be just fine. When we got to the Church I saw all of my other friends that i had made. Everyone was going to church. I felt so relieved because i knew some people. The meeting was amazing. I felt the spirit of the Lord touch my soul and begin to fill the hole in my heart as each of my friends bore their testimony of the Savior of the world. I began to realize what I was missing in my life. I knew from that moment that I was in the right place. I havent missed a Sacrament Meeting since. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Christ is my personal Savior and that he is the only way we can recieve a remission of our sins. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same church that Christ set up on the earth in his earthly ministry. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that there is a Prophet on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that anyone who reads it with a real desire to know of its truthfulness, and prays to our Heavenly Father will find that it is true for themselves.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church. I am so grateful for my opportunity to spread the gospel to others. I go out everday all day and talk to others about our Savior and how His Church has been restored to the earth. I get the chance to teach people of all ages and races and help them come closer to Christ.

In whom should we have faith?

Garrett
We should have faith in our Lord and Savior, who is Jesus the Christ. Faith in Christ is the one thing that we can depend on when nothing else is working right in our lives. Show more Show less
