Hi I'm Taylor Archibald

I love music, boarding and sports. I love speaking Spanish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some things that I like to do are snowboard skateboard longboard and pretty much and kind of boarding! I love doing all sports, I used to do MMA fighting and loved it! I love getting a good work out especially when playing basketball! I love life, everything about it! Friends and family are some of my biggest treasures here in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church my parents are both members and their parents are members but that is definately not why I'm a Mormon. But that is how I was introduced to the church. Throughout my life I have had a lot of struggles and difficulties like we all do and that is probably the biggest reason that I'm a Mormon, because during that time the only peace that I could find was in Jesus Christ and his church. I thought that I was having fun and should have been happy but there was a emptiness inside of me and I had a really hard time admitting that it was the gospel. So that is when I really started "investigating" for myself this church. I wanted to know I came to the point that I was going to go one way or the other, for the good or the bad. So I prayed and asked for the first time really wanting to know. Not just going through the motions but really asking and pleading and that is when I got my answer. That is when I knew and ever since it has been hard but so worth it! Im a mormon cause I know its true and it helps me!

How I live my faith

I share the gospel with others! As members of the church we focus a lot on sharing the things that we know with others because we have seen the blessings of it in ours lives and so we share it with others so that they can feel the same joy. That is why I'm on a mission and learning SPANISH!!! Cause I want to share it with everyone!

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Taylor Archibald
We know that Jesus Christ is the very Son of God the Father. We know that he is our Savior and there is no other name whereby men can be saved. Without him we are hopelessly lost. When Jesus Christ came here he suffered and died for us all not just members but the whole world all that have lived in it and all that will live in it. Through Him we can be clean. And we become clean as we have faith in Him, Repent, are Baptized, getting the Gift of the Holy Ghost and then for the rest of our lives continue in keeping the commandments and increasing our faith, repenting daily, partaking of the sacrament, and ultimately becoming better people. Without Jesus this wouldnt be possible. Without him we couldnt become clean and no unclean thing can enter the kingdom of God so as we become more and more clean we will qualify ourselves for his Kingdom and recieve countless blessings! How can I know Mormonism is true?

Taylor Archibald
The exact same way that millions of people have found out that is it true. The same way that the Lord instructs us to find out. Through praying. That is how I have come to know that its true. The Holy Ghost testifies and it is something that even more than knowing that it is true you will feel it. How amazing is that. If we want to know that something is true all that we have to do it what God has asked us to do. We have to have the desire then study then pray and we will get our answer.   Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Taylor Archibald
Well we live like most anyone else. We still got to work everyday, play sports and live very normal lives. I guess that the difference is that we live to a high standard. We are pretty set on living without any regrets. But we also aren't perfect by any means. We still have things that we regret but we try our hardest to live to a higher standard so that we can help our brothers and sister (everyone in the world) to be able to live that way too. The Mormon way of life is really in the long run so much easier and I guess sometimes in the moment it is pretty hard but in the end you would never regret living the "mormon way of life". But the only to really know what its like is to try it. Try living the Mormon way of life for a bit. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Taylor Archibald
For me this is something that is very cool. Cause I remember when I was little that I would read books about pirates and all sorts of fun stuff and I wished that I could be in the book and be a pirate, so for me rather than just reading about christs church I get to be in it I get to know exactly how it works and feel the power and everything about it. Dont get me wrong I love the Bible too but it is nothing compared to actually being a part of the true church of christ. Something else that I have thought about is that there had to be something more... If the bible was all that we needed it would be so confusing. Because here in Houston we have a church on every corner almost ha ha and they all love the bible and preach from the bible but they all think that the other ones are wrong so there has got to be something missing if there are 10000000's of ways to understand the bible right? That just makes sense to me. But maybe its cause I have prayed about it and I now know.... I would invite you to do that same and I think you will recieve a better answer than mine. What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Taylor Archibald
Mormon women are the greatest and strongest women that I have ever met. I have been surrounded by Mormon women my whole life and they are a huge example. I believe that my Mom is the greatest women on earth and I think that most of it is because she is Mormon. She has taught me through my whole life in every aspect. Always there to help but sometimes letting me struggle a bit on my own so I can learn for myself. We do believe in the equality of men and women in the church. Each side bringing their own strengths and weaknesses coming together and working as a team. There will always be times that one will struggle more than the other and that is why we have each other equally to help support one another. We cant do all that we have to alone and I dont know why we would want to.... Each gender is just as important as another. Show more Show less
