Hi I'm Jason

I am a missionary for the church and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was blessed come from a family where the gospel of Jesus Christ was taught and loved. I have one older brother and we were blessed to have a wonderful mother and father who taught us to love the gospel since were were little. I love teaching at Omega martial arts, camping, movies, and being with my family, and my dog Rocky. I currently serve as a missionary for the Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life, but my recent church service has helped me to see more clearly how much I have been blessed. Reading and praying about the Book of Mormon has strengthened my testimony of the restored gospel and I know that it is a true record and that it will bring you great peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to those around me, by serving in the church as a missionary, and by showing others how to have be happy in life.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Jason
The Book of Mormon was written for our day by ancient prophets on the American Continent. During the time of Christ's mortal ministry, there were people on both sides of the world. The Bible is the record of the people in the Holy Land. The Book of Mormon is a record of the people in the Americas during the same time period. The Bible and the Book of Mormon do NOT contradict each other, it is the opposite. They compliment each other and testify of the life, mission, and divinity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Jason
Men are imperfect and we needed a way to be cleansed from sin. We could not do this ourselves so Jesus Christ who was the only perfect man to ever walk the earth voluteered to be our savior so that we could be clean and return to live with God. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Jason
We do NOT worship Joseph Smith, we honor him as the Prophet who was chosen by God to restore the gospel in the latter-days. We worship only God the Eternal Father and his Son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jason
Yes. Like olden times, the prophet has the authority from God to minister and teach God's children. We look to the Prophet and the Apostles for direction and council on how to better our lives and deal with the challenges of life. We can hear their words in General Conference which occurs the first weekend in April and October. The prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Jason
We belive the Bible contains the word of God and we love it. The Book of Mormon does not take away from or replaces the Bible, but instead The Book of Mormon admonishes us to read it. The Bible also tells of the Book of Mormon. Such as Ezekiel 37 and John 10. Both testify of Christ.  Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Jason
We are given 12 apostles along with the prophet to help guide us throught life. They hold as a group the authority to teach and govern the church and its members under the prophet. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Jason
Temples are sacred houses of worship. Just as the temple of Solomon and the Tabernacle in the wilderness, they are places where we can recieve instruction and blessings from a loving Father in Heaven. We can also serve our ancestors by perfoming ordinances such as baptism for them in holy temples. Couples and married and families are sealed together not just for time, but for all eternity in the temple. I love the temple and can't wait to go back. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jason
The Family is central to God's plan of happiness for his children. We are placed in families so that we can learn and grow together and help each other through life. Some of my most cherished memories are doing things with my family such as camping, working in the yard and working on home improvement projects. Show more Show less
