Hi I'm Derek

I'm a screenwriter, I'm a musician,I'm a Christian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

. I LOVE my father in Heaven, I LOVE my Savior. I LOVE my family. I LOVE having adventures. I LOVE creating and sharing my creations (films). I LOVE sleeping. I hate squash.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the true restored Church of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for this every day of my life. I am a Mormon because the teachings and feelings you receive from attending this church are better and more inspirational and make more sense than any other church out there.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to keep the commandments my Savior Jesus Christ has given us, whether it be helping others, keeping a positive attitude, or just simply getting on my kneeknee's.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

This is probably the question I get the most. The answer is yes, yes we do. Mormons believe the Bible is the word of God. The Book of Mormon is simply another testament that Jesus is the Christ, not a substitute. This means that we are indeed Christians. The Book of Mormon is a record of God's dealings with his people on the American continent. We believe that God loves all his children and has had dealings with all of them. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Family is the most important thing to Mormons. We believe that family consists of Marriage (between men and women only) and their children. We believe that families can be together forever, even after we depart from this life. That is one of the most beautiful aspects of our Heavenly Father's plan- that we can be together with the ones we love forever if we do our best to keep the laws which he has outlined for us.
