Hi I'm Mitch Hortin

I am a graduate student studying biomechanical engineering. I love playing sports especially with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 22 year old Mechanical Engineering student who loves music and sports, especially baseball and basketball. I am the oldest of three brothers. I like hanging out with friends and reading a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity be friends with or associate with people from all different backgrounds and life styles. The one overriding observation that I have made is that out of all those people, the happiest are those who live with moral standards and a faith in God and Jesus Christ. There is a hope that comes with my faith in Jesus Christ that I don't think I could live without. My parents are the ones who introduced me to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it has been restored to its fullness in our time. Over the years I have had to find out for myself if this tremendous claim that God speaks to prophets in these times is true. I know it is. This knowledge has come through experiences, the study of scripture and most importantly the personal revelation that comes after sincerely asking through prayer. I also know that this knowledge and the blessings that come with it are available to all who ask.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and I also have the responsibility over the missionary work in my ward. I help people to know how to share their testimony and knowledge of the gospel with others. I make an effort to be kind to everyone and look for ways and opportunities to serve those in need of help.
