Hi I'm Greg

I'm a Mormon and proud of it.

About Me

I consider myself a pretty normal person. I get up and go to work everyday. I consider it a great blessing to live in America, to have the freedom and opportunities that we do. I love living in Utah (except for the cold winters). It has been a wonderful place to raise a family. My wife Leslie and I are the parents of 5 children. 4 of them are married and have wonderful spouses of their own. We currently have 8 grandchildren with 2 more on the way. We have lived through the hectic years of raising children, and trying to keep our heads above water. In spite of the challenges, it has been a blessing in our lives and we would not have had it any other way. These days we are content to watch our children raise their children and to experience what we went through. Our source of happiness comes from church and family. In spite of life's difficulties and challenges, we find true happiness and fulfillment through the teachings of Jesus Christ and by being members of His church.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that our Heavenly Father created this earth for us to live on. I believe that there was a divine plan for all of us to have experiences to become more like Him and to live with Him again. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Redeemer of the world. He died and atoned for our sins. I have found through faith, prayer and life experiences, that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are the way that Heavenly Father and the Savior want me to live. I believe that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I believe that the fullness of the Gospel with Priesthood Authority has been restored to the earth for our benefit and salvation. I believe that there is a prophet on the earth today who tells us the things that Heavenly Father wants us to know. His name is Thomas S. Monson. As I have lived the principles and teachings of the church for the past 50 years, I have found them to be true. Prayers are answered. Answers to life's questions are found in the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I know for a fact that true happiness comes from living God's commandments.

How I live my faith

For the past 5 years I have served as the Bishop of our local congregation. It has been a great blessing to serve the people in our neighborhood through this calling. I have witnessed the goodness of friends and neighbors in helping each other and living Christ like lives. I know young men and young women who live morally clean lives, who abstain from alcohol, tobacco and drugs. they are good people and our future is in safe hands. Life for everyone is full of challenges and obstacles. Earning a living and being a part of the world is not an easy thing to do. Many people struggle with health issues for themselves or family members. Having faith in Christ and living the principles of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ gives my life meaning and direction. I not only know how I should live, but what is expected of me and it is the anchor to my soul.
