Hi I'm Bob

I'm a husband and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have two beautiful daughters. We are also educators by profession. While it is true I enjoy teaching, I would not turn down the occasional opportunity to go scuba diving.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love God, who is my Father in Heaven, and His Son Jesus Christ. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and believe that the church is just that, the church of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ is central to my happiness here on earth and in the life hereafter. Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I believe, as do all Mormons, that God intended that marriage between a husband and a wife, last for time and for all eternity. With that perspective in mind, I try to put my wife and family first in all that I do.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Jesus taught that all men must be baptized, yet millions of people have lived on this earth and died without ever having had the opportunity to fullfill this commandment. Therefore; Heavenly Father allows his children here on earth to act as agents in behalf of those who have passed on from this life and can no longer be baptized for themselves (1 Corinthians 15:29). Christ's suffering and death, was the ultimate vicarious act. He did for each of us, that which we cannot do for ourselves. He has provided us the opportunity to follow his example and do for others, that which they can no longer do for themselves, baptism. Show more Show less
