Hi I'm Rex. I work in TV News.

I'm a Mormon. Born in South Bend, IN. Moved all around the country. I've worked in TV as a news producer, reporter. Producing now.

About Me

I joined the church when I was 12, but fell away. I found the church again when I was 17, after my mother died suddenly. I should say the church found me, as home teachers came to my home. I'd moved around a bit, so I was hard to track down. My dad was in the Navy. I served a mission in Belgium and learned to love the Flemish people. I met my wife soon after my mission and I'm now a father of four wonderful children. I work in TV News as a producer, and have been doing this crazy job for 25 years. I pray every day that I can perform well in my job, and be a good representative of the Lord. I've been able to serve in the church in many capacities. That's one thing unique about the church, no paid ministers. We all play a part in furthering the work.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I heard the message of the restoration. It resonates with me that the gospel was restored with the organization that existed when Christ was on the earth. The Book of Mormon is a witness of Christ, and helps us realize that the Lord loves his children all over the world. Knowing that it is true leads to the logical conclusion that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that subsequent prophets have been leading the church since then. It is a wonderful thing to have guidance from the Lord in changing and troubled times. We need to listen and heed the instructions from the Lord's inspired servants.

How I live my faith

I am in the media and am constantly aware of how I live my religion. I serve as a ward missionary, and as such get to meet with members and nonmembers to talk about the church. I enjoy talking about the church and sharing what I believe. It has been a rewarding experience wherever I have lived.
