Hi I'm Lauren

I grew up in Canada, have a degree in Geography, and am a mom of 5. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5, living in Nebraska. My husband is in the Air Force and I homeschool our children. I've been married for 13 years, and have a degree in Geography from Brigham Young University. I love being a Mom, and spend any free time I have reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in an LDS family, but I am a Mormon because I have seen the hand of the Lord in my life, and I have seen the peace and happiness that comes when I am earnestly trying to follow the principles of the gospel. I am grateful for the reassurances I have had that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and who knows me as His child.

How I live my faith

I am a Primary teacher, and this year I am teaching 10 year olds the New Testament. I also regularly visit 3 women in our congregation, including an elderly lady who lives alone. I love getting to know them.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

While I believe everyone on the earth is part of Heavenly Father's family, I think of my immediate family as those that Heavenly Father has giving me especial charge over. I am to love and serve these people in the ways that Christ loved and served us. I need to be a good example for them, and help them to find true happiness. I know that we can be a family forever if we can make those good choices and do our best to follow the example Christ set for us. Show more Show less
