Hi I'm Chandler

I grew up in Seattle. I am going to school for business. I play college baseball. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the game of baseball. I have played the game since I was 4. I enjoy spending time with my family, my Mom, Dad, and Brother. I enjoy working out everyday to get stronger. I strive to be the best at everything I do. I like stretching myself to enlarge my capacity and strength. I love serving other people. I write poetry. A lot of people see me as a big huge rough guy but I am a super softie. I served a full time mission in the Ohio Cleveland Mission. Serving others is one of the most rewarding things ever. My parents got divorced when I turned 18. I enjoy helping others and being around people. I am going to school for business management. I absolutely love life.

Why I am a Mormon

Baseball has been an out for my whole life. It was my crutch. I would go play baseball and life was complete, it was easy, it was good. Someone very close to me was an alcoholic. He would come home and be very upset at everything. I would go to the baseball field and my mind was free. My mind would be clear and totally at peace. I still love the feeling. I determined at a young age when I was 14 that I either go the way of the world and follow my friends who were good people but they did not always do the best things or live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Reading the Book of Mormon and praying about the truthfulness of it was the only logical thing to do. I read the whole Book of Mormon, praying the whole time to get an answer from Heavenly Father to know if the Book was true. At the very end of my reading the whole Book of Mormon I received an answer as I prayed. It was incredible. The spirit overcame me and I resolved then that I would live the Gospel the rest of my life. I didn't know everything at that time, I still don't, but I know without a doubt that this Church is the only true Church on the face of the earth. It is the only Church and the only Gospel that will provide full access to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It will give you strength beyond your own capacity and will allow you to literally become a disciple of Christ. Gaining a testimony and becoming converted to the true Gospel of Christ allowed me to find the peace I was always looking for when I played baseball. Baseball used to be my way to find peace. The Gospel is the plan of our Heavenly Father. He wants us to succeed and find peace & joy. I found it. I still play baseball and still love it but the Gospel has shaped my future, redeemed my past and gives me strength in the present to rise above mediocrity and become my best self to reach my full potential.

How I live my faith

The moral facets of society are slipping fast. We desire to be something great. We desire to reach our full potential, not just float with the winds of culture and the tides of mediocrity. We must rise above the mediocre pace and surmount to greatness. The world today seeks to mold us to be like the rest of culture. Living the gospel and trying to become like Christ will allow you to rise above the dull pace of the world. I read my scriptures everyday and they filter through my brain throughout the day. I pray constantly throughout the day. I seek to always have a prayer in my heart. I always try to be there for people no matter what. Being of service to others takes my pride away and helps me become. I attend church every week with activities like Institute and Family home evening during the week to keep my spirituality up. I love the gospel and live it everyday.
