Hi I'm Rebecca

I am a wife and mother of six. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married mom of 6 children. Our oldest is almost 21 and our youngest is 4 1/2. College down to pre-school, we've got it covered! I grew up in Idaho and moved once, three blocks away until I went to college at 18. However my own children have had quite the opposite experience. Five of our six children were all born in a different state. We have lived in Utah, California, Michigan, Connecticut, Georgia, and have been settled now in Colorado for 10 years. Living all over the United States has shown me time and time again, how genuinely good people really are. It doesn't matter our backgrounds or where we grew up, we are all just people, who for the most part, are striving to be good and help others along the way. My days revolve around giving support to my missionary son and my five other children in their various activites. I am a taxi service but I love it - most of the time. ;)

Why I am a Mormon

I come from Pioneer heritage and am 5th generation Mormon. Even though I have always had the church in my life, there came a point where I had to know for myself whether my family's religion and it's beliefs were true. Through consistently reading the Book of Mormon and prayer and faithfully keeping the commandments, the Holy Ghost has testified to me numerous times that this church and it's teachings are true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service and by trying my hardest to live a Christ-like life. At church I serve the children who are 18 months to 11 years of age. I love seeing them every Sunday and helping them learn and grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ. And of course, being a mother is a daily act of service. I have learned through the years that I can choose to be a mother with a happy heart or I can mother begrudgingly which is not really service at all. It's a choice I make daily. I also live my faith by trying my hardest to be Christ-like daily to all I come in contact with. At the center of our religion is Christ and I know if I live like Him, this is when I experience the deepest sense of joy and fulfillment.
