Hi I'm Randy Austin

I grew up in rural Idaho, and my father died when I was 14. I am lawyer who protects children from abuse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the best woman on the planet. I grew up in rural Idaho, served a mission in Brazil and live in Utah and work as a lawyer. I have four wonderful children. My faith has helped me to face and overcome challenges in life from the death of my father when I was a teen to finding a way to make my desire for education possible despite financial challenges. I have found that being a Mormon has made me a much better father and husband than I would be otherwise.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me peace and happiness. I was born into a Mormon family, but remain a Mormon because of what I have experienced and felt in my lifetime as a Mormon. I feel in my heart that this is the path of happiness that God would have me follow. Gratefully, he loves me enough to let me know these things for myself. I have also found that my faith helps me with every aspect of my life. I am a better husband, father, son, brother, lawyer and neighbor because of my faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving my family and my neighbors. I live my faith by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I live my faith by trying to bring peace to all. At the present time, I serve as the lay leader of a Mormon congregation. While it takes a great deal of time, I am careful to not let it interfere with my most important responsibilities as a husband and father. The Church provides so many opportunities to reach out to and help others. As we do for others, we learn to see them more clearly as God does. We also find that we become different, better people.
