Hi I'm Ryan

I love life and I love to laugh. I'm a cellist, I'm a lifeguard, I'm from AZ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the church. But I plan on heading back to college after my mission is over. I love to play the cello in the orchestra and just to practice it alone. Music is one of my favorite things in the world. Whether I'm listening to it, playing, it, singing along to it, doesn't matter, I love it. I love to hang out with friends or family all the time playing games, watching movies, or just talking. Life is so amazing and I love it. Ask anyone who knows me and they can tell you I always have a smile on my face and you can usually hear my laugh from far, far away.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church is Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church in the world today guided by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I found that out by myself by living the principles that the church teaches and watching how it blessed my life in ways too numerous to mention. I prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if this was His church and I got an answer to my prayer that I can never deny. Everytime I go to church, everytime I read the scriptures, everytime I share my beliefs with others - I get that same feeling. So, it is confirmed everyday to me why I am a Mormon, because Heavenly Father wants me to be and revealed that to me through the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by sharing the word of God with others and how it has blessed my life! Being a missionary has been the most rewarding experience of my life and one that I cherish each and every day as I got out to work. I try my hardest to keep all the commandments that Heavenly Father has given us and as I do it increases my happiness and my love of life in general. I live my faith by the smile I wear, the words I say, and the actions I take.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Ryan
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is what allows us to return to our Heavenly Father. It includes His suffering for all of our sins, His death on the cross, and HIs glourious Resurrection. It was necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life for us because we cannot overcome our sins by ourselves. Someone has to pay the price for the sins we commit, and if He did not do it, we would have to suffer for them. Thankfully, He did suffer for them and so if we follow Christ we can be forgiven for our sins and return to our Heavenly Father. All He asks that we do is have faith, repent of our sins, be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and serve Him faithfully to the end of our lives. Show more Show less
