Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happily married college student and I am going to be a Mechanical Engineer. It will take me a couple more years of school, but I will get there. I really enjoy the challenges associated with this field of study, and I love how the things I study fuel my curiosity for the world around me. I enjoy playing the guitar, rock climbing, and riding my motorcycle. I am toying with the idea of getting my private pilots license. That's me in a nutshell, oh ya and of course, I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I choose to be. I was raised in the Mormon faith, but I chose to stick with it. I made this decision, and make it again everyday when my faith is challenged by adversity. This doesn't mean I am perfect, but because I know God lives and that He knows and loves me, I can get through anything. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy, strengthens my marriage and family, and gives me hope. Hope that I can improve each day, and hope that I can make good choices that will result in true happiness for my family and me.

How I live my faith

In my ward congregation I take on a missionary role. I get to organize activities focused on sharing our faith, help the missionaries teach lessons, and encourage other members of our faith to share their faith with their friends. It's true that this can take up some time, which is such a limited quantity, but there is nothing better than seeing someone else begin to develop or strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ. My faith brings me so much joy, I want to share that joy with others, so it is worth my time.
