Hi I'm Karyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to write. Novels in particular. I spend every day trying to improve this talent in the hope that I'm doing something that matters. I am especially drawn to good vs. evil and the hope of redemption.

Why I am a Mormon

I was in my early twenties when I knew something huge was missing from my life. I was volunteering at a hospital one day with nothing to do, sitting next to a stack of New Eras (an LDS Church magazine) on the reception desk that I was trying hard to avoid looking at. I finally did, however, and as I read testimonies other young adults shared about the Book of Mormon, a voice came into my mind that said, "This is what you are looking for." I now recognize that voice as the Holy Ghost, but at the time, I just knew that voice wasn't mine. I have committed to living the gospel since that day and have been blessed with the fulness of joy I always sensed I could have, but didn't know how to find.

How I live my faith

I love my Savior, and am so grateful that he loves and wants to save someone like me. My hope is that everything I do serves Him in some way.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

He is our father, and if He were here He would embrace us and love us as only a perfect father could. He wants us to believe in ourselves, to know we are a choice spirit, His true son or daughter, and that we ourselves have potential to someday become like Him. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Pray and ask with real purpose of heart, willing to pay any price whatsoever for truth, whatever that truth may be. Show more Show less
