Hi I'm Gentry

I'm an American. I'm a Texan. I'm a designer. I'm a risk taker. I'm a movie & music lover. I'm a giver. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Texan but have lived several cool places. I am passionate about movies, my creative projects, the artistry of fine time pieces as well as loving cars. I am a designer by trade and have over 15 years working on creative, branding and marketing products for everyone from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. I'm also someone who tries new things, be it professions or creative outlets. I've tried everything from driving a tow truck to building people's dream homes to trying to develop TV shows. I'm not afraid to take the risk. I've had some lows in my life, but I do not regret them. They all played key roles in making me who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

The easy answer is, because my parents converted. There is another reason though. For the past 15 or so years, I have made poor decisions that have taken me off the path. Be in inappropriate conduct, partaking in drugs and alcohol and just about everything in between, I have never stopped believing. It wasn't until recently that I realized that simply believing isn't enough. I had to actively participate in my faith and my relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior. So why am I Mormon today? Because I know this Church to be true and I believe in the restoration of the full Gospel to this Earth and I know that we have been blessed with modern day Prophets from Joseph Smith to Charles S. Monson. I now have more than just a belief, I have a testimony, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Through out my life, I have done my best to be as good a person as possible. Even during the times when I was further away from the Church than I realized, I made it a point to serve my fellow man as often as I could. This service came in the form of charitable giving, empathetic acts and my favorite, random acts of kindness. Today, I try to live to a higher standard than even that. Today I try to live as an example of Jesus Christ and to encourage others to do the same by my actions.
