Hi I'm Monna

I'm a Mormon. Family is very important to me. I know God lives.

About Me

I love quilting, crocheting, crafts couponing. I have 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. I have 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. I will have 1 more granddaughter and one more great grandson this year in July. We lived in England and Germany and loved the people there. The countries were beautiful and incredibly clean. I love camping (with our trailer) and enjoy working in a small RV cafe. I love meeting new people and making others smile. I find joy in service and compassion.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that through Him I have the ultimate gift of atonement. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and a second witness of Jesus Christ. I know we have a living prophet who tells us what God would have us hear. I know that there are good people everywhere and I am grateful for the knowledge that we are all Children of God.

How I live my faith

I greet others with a smile and look for sadness or stress in their eyes. I love people unconditionally. This gift I learned through watching my parents live their lives. I have learned the value of friendship, hugs and unconditional love.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Monna
We believe that families can be together forever by being married in one of our temples. We believe that when a family member dies we can live with them again if we live good lives. An LDS or Mormon must have a temple recommend to enter the temples. This is important to us since our temples are very sacred places to go. We make promises to God and by keeping those promises we believe blessings will come in abundance. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Monna
I receive countless blessings through reading the scriptures. I find that my days go better if I start with scriptures. My husband and I read together at night and the spirit of our home is so much better since we started doing this. I know the scriptures can answer life's questions and help us know how to face trials. Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Monna
No. Polygamy is not sanctioned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe marriage is a blessing from Our Father in Heaven. We need to love and respect our spouses and teach our children to honor and respect both father and mother. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Monna
I love being a member of the LDS (Mormon) church. The name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love having scriptures to read as road maps to live my life. I like the order and the love that comes from fellowship with other church members. I always try to greet any new people who come to church. Sometimes when we move around a lot we learn some hard lessons. I believe any congregation is as friendly as we are. When we reach out to other and extend our hands and visit with others, we will find that good people are everywhere. They are just like you and I and they want smiles and hugs. In my congregation I am known as a "Hugger" because I greet people with a big hug. I learned that from my Mother and Dad. Show more Show less
