Hi I'm Liz Kopaigora

I grew up in Newport Beach, CA, am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a mother to three children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church and loved it then, and still do. I have a devout testimony of the Savior and his love for me. My husband is from Ukraine and joined when he was 17 years old after meeting the missionaries after looking into joining another church and feeling instantly that he was meant to be Mormon---and knew that there was something powerful there. We met eight years ago and have raised our children in the church. Our family, and our testimony of this church and the Savior, are our greatest joys!

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt the spirit of the Lord so many times in this church in many ways over and over, and could never deny it's truthfulness. Also, there is so much evidence that this is true, for example, we don't drink or smoke as revealed to the prophets over 150 years ago long before scientific evidence proved this- and tend to live 5-10 years longer than the average person for this and other reasons related to general happiness and well-being. Also, our youth are very mature and do not participate in the immoral behavior around them- as indicated by research outside of the church. I lived in SF, NYC, Boston, and LA as a single person in my 20's and 30's and saw direct evidence of this in the church as well. If you're looking for a church where your children will be taught not to party and be immoral, and will actually tend to follow this to marriage, this is the church for you. It's really an amazing church too with regards to helping in crisis quickly and with humanitarian needs. People volunteer years of their lives to help others as a regular practice- and we are not a paid ministry. I believe that this is the true church in many ways, the exact replica of the church that was set up in the Bible. Ask me more anytime why I know it's true and why I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

We attend weekly church meetings with our family, and have often been involved with helping our community and the church community with those who have special needs, employment issues, social work issues, etc. as a family.
