Hi I'm Seth

I love my family and the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of six. I was raised in the millitary, and spent 8 years in the US NAVY as an information systems technician IT2 as well. I currently am a Sr. Network System Administrator for a medium sized security company. I love camping, driving through the mountains, fishing, boating, and just about anything to do with the outdoors. I love to swim and play basketball. I also enjoy reading good books to or playing video games with my kids every now and then.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a "Mormon" or member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because I have had a personal witness from our Father in Heaven that teachings it has brought forth are true. With this spiritual knowledge, I am empowered to live a happy fearless life. I know that everything always works out for the best in the end.

How I live my faith

I strive each day to be a better, more loving, person. I want to help others find and get to know Christ. I try to live my life in such a way that others find that desire to be like Christ as well.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Seth
In my ward, I am a financial clerk. It is my duty to make sure that the funds are used in an appropriate manner. As a result, I get a unique perspective of Tithing and other offerrings. The most obvious thing that tithing is used to accomplish is the construction and maintenance of our chapels and temples. There are also dinners, get togethers, and social gatherings for both children, youth and adults. The church also uses these funds to help those in need. rarely does a week go by where we are not dirrectly assisting some one who is having a rough time. I'm gratefull for the oportunity to see these things first hand. It has really helped build my faith in the restored gospel. Show more Show less
