Hi I'm Kelly

I was raised in Texas. I 'm blessed to be a husband, father, and hard working citizen. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father and step-father of twelve wonderful children. I am a teacher by profession and writer, musician, and artist by hobby. My family receives most of my extra time, but I make sure that I am available to serve my Heavenly Father in various ways to build His kingdom. One of my favorite activities is the opportunity to give service to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I felt a spiritual reassurance in my young adulthood that I could accept and live by the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I felt the power of God as I received His priesthood and became a lay minister. I received a broadening and powerful growth of the truth of my previous decisions as I served the Lord as a missionary and in many other service capacities. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the authorized Kingdom of God on earth, that a latter-day prophet, Joseph Smith, restored that authorized kingdom through divine assistance and manifestation, that we have a living prophet today who receives revelation for the kingdom and its growth, that modern revelation is real and establishes and clarifies ancient revelations, and that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living God.

How I live my faith

My discipleship to and faith in Jesus Christ appears in my everyday effort to worship and remember Him through prayer, study, meditation, and active obedience to the commandment to love myself and God with all my heart, might, mind, and strength and my neighbor in the same manner. I serve the full membership of our local congregation by watching over programs for the teenage boys and for our chartered scouting troop. I also oversee and serve the musical needs among our members, and I work to ensure and oversee the cleaning and maintenance of our chapel. I help arrange speakers for and often conduct our very sacred sacrament meetings. I also work closely with other leaders to discover, by sacred revelation, how God would use local members to serve the needs of the congregation. I live my faith as conscientious husband, father, employee, and community volunteer. I believe we reap what we sow and strive to live the law of the harvest.
