Hi I'm Jared

I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful little boys, and I'm a graduate student studying the brain. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I love finding new places to eat and taking weekend trips together. I love playing tag and reading books with my three year old. I love playing patty cake, smiling at, and laughing with my three month old. As a family, we love going on walks and hikes and watching sports. I am currently starting my fourth year of graduate school. I study people with autism. I use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to take pictures of people's brains to understand how the brains of people with autism differ from everyone else's brain. I hope to use MRI scans to inform doctors on the best treatment option for individuals who suffer from neuropsychiatric disorders.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me as a Mormon. I went to church every week and participated in the weekly youth activities. I enjoyed participating and felt like what my parents taught me was true. At a certain point, I decided I needed to know for myself. I read the Book of Mormon and asked God to lead me to the truth. I tried to do everything my parents taught me to do. Little by little, I came to the realization that everything my parents taught me was true. That realization led to an opportunity to serve and tell the people of northern Italy about what I knew to be true. It changed my life for the better. Since then, my love for the gospel of Jesus Christ has grown and deepened.

How I live my faith

I help organize the schedule for the leader in charge of the local congregation. I set up all of his appointments and create the agendas for and take notes at the weekly leadership meetings.
