Hi I'm Jimmy

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Colorado. I enjoy bow hunting and Dutch oven cooking.

About Me

In high school I was an athlete. I played football and I wrestled. I now have a Masters degree in Elementary School Education. I have been teaching for 32 years. I teach Physical Education. For hobbies I enjoy bow hunting and Dutch oven cooking and gardening. My wife Karen and I have four children, three daughters and one son. We have three granddaughters, one grandson and one on the way . Grandchildren are great! We go camping with our family every year.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I know this is his true Church. I cannot tell you how much I love the Lord. I know that the Book Mormon is the word God. I also know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet.

How I live my faith

I live my religion by trying to keep all of the commandments. I attend the meetings that are offered by the Church. I also do my best to find opportunities to serve my fellow men and my Heavenly Father. I read my scriptures daily with my wife and we also pray each morning and evening. I accept assignments from my leaders and try to magnify them to the best of my ability.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Jimmy
There are no perfect men or women. Because we all sin there needed to be a perfect person to pay the price of our sins. God our Eternal Father sent his only begotten son to do this for all of us. Jesus sffered in Gethsemene and on the cross to atone for our sins. As a rusult of the Atonement we are allowed to repent. When we repent of our short commings we are forgiven and come back into the good graces of Heavenly Father. We can then return to live with Him after we die. Show more Show less
