Hi I'm Jeff

I love everything sports, I am an aspiring teacher, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love sports! Some of my fondest memories have been playing and watching sports with family and friends, especially basketball and football. My parents immigrated from Haiti to the United States, a year before I was born, and I have a younger brother who I look up to at times. I am a convert to the Church, served in the Idaho Pocatello Mission, and am currently attending Brigham Young University in hopes of becoming a schoolteacher. I am married to the greatest woman in the world, who also happens to be my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my mom would take us to different denominations of Christian churches on different occasions, but we didn't have a set religion. I had a belief of God and Jesus Christ, but I wouldn't say that it was unwavering by any means. When I was 17, I remember going through many trials that led me to question whether there was a God and if there was, I questioned His love for me. At that point, I lacked direction and felt as if I had no one to turn to, since it seemed as though my prayers were falling on deaf ears or no one was there. It wasn't until the spring of 2008, that I finally had my prayers answered in the form of Mormon missionaries knocking on my door. They invited me to pray to know the truthfulness of their message. I did just that and know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I received an answer from God. A month later, I made the best decision of my life by following the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized by someone holding the authority of God to do so. I know that this is His church brought back to the earth after centuries of being lost. Granted, there are many good churches and great people who attend them, but He only has one true church (Ephesians 4:5). He loves us, He knows us, and He wants to be that much more a part of our lives. Through following His teachings found within the Church, I have had that confirmed to me time and time again. And that is why I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying and studying my scriptures on a daily basis, attending my church meetings weekly, fulfilling my church callings, and sharing my testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel through social media and any opportunity that presents itself when interacting with others
