Hi I'm Becca

I'm a nature lover, documentary film connoisseur, novel reading, professional Mom. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a wonderful large family. I was the fifth of nine children. Both my parents joined the LDS church a year before they were married/sealed in an LDS temple. I moved around most of my childhood, and fell in love with different cultures, food, and natural landscapes. I love to experience nature in many forms from hiking to gardening to cross-country skiing. I love to experience new ideas and imaginative adventures through reading. I am currently the mother of four amazing children. I am blessed to be able to devote my full-time to them and my home - and this is the greatest source of challenge, interest, and joy for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an active Mormon family. I was taught from a very young age the truths of the gospel, and these simple truths guided and blessed my life. But there came a time when I had to ask the question - do I believe this is all true?? That time came for me when I was fifteen. I will never forget the moment I received my answer, I was out on a jog in a desert around sunset. I was pondering all that I had been taught, what it all meant, and asking myself and the Lord if it all was true. An overwhelming warm, positive, clear, distinct, vibrant, joyous feeling overcame me and I KNEW it was. Not only was it all true but I knew, as I paused and watched the 360* breathtaking view of the sun setting, that from this day forward the Lord and His gospel would be the first priority in my life. Since then it has continued to be a priority and a blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

For the last 3 years I have had the opportunity to work with the Young Women youth group in our church. Working with teenagers has been very rewarding for me. There is something special about that time in life, the energy, the questions, the dreams, and desires. We have been able to learn new skills, study and discuss the gospel, serve others, go on camp-outs and much more. Working with them has helped me to push my comfort zone and learn new things.
